Starry Nights Luxury Camping

Experiences

What can we do each day?

For many of our guests, a stay at Starry Nights Luxury Camp is a chance to sleep in, on the plush pillow top king sized beds, enjoy a long lazy breakfast on the verandah with the paper, perhaps a couple of hours on the beach with a good book before heading back for an afternoon snooze and then relaxing under the stars. Or walk down to Petrie Creek, or along the track of our own little part of the Hinterland’s rainforest. For those who enjoy company, guests often gather around the guest lounge fireplace, for a drink, and to share experiences.

For others, it is a base from which to get busy exploring the spectacular Sunshine Coast with its pristine beaches or hinterland with the award-winning national parks, and mountain villages like Montville, Mapelton and Maleny, a true playground for the outdoor enthusiast. A few minutes away there are lots of things to experience, being just over:

What other facilities does Starry Nights offer?

Starry Night’s guest lounge is our communal guest hub with a small library, pool table and open fire.  There’s a coffee machine in the lounge, as well as a choice of games and beverages.

Kondalilla falls and famous rock pool

Kondalilla Falls (80m) is one of the most spectacular and accessible falls on the Sunshine Coast Hinterland.

The walk down to the falls is ‘family friendly’ with some rock stairs and a maintained path. Great views of the rainforest valley from the natural rock pools at the top.

You can swim in the rock pools at both the top and bottom of the falls.

Kondalilla National Park

Just behind the Sunshine Coast, in the scenic Blackall Range, Kondalilla National Park is a cool mountain retreat. The park is named after the spectacular Kondalilla Falls, where Skene Creek drops 90m into a rainforest valley.

Kondalilla, an Aboriginal word meaning ‘rushing waters’, describes this park’s waterfall during the summer wet season.

Maleny

This unique rural community is perched high above the Sunshine Coast with amazing views to the Glasshouse Mountains in south-east Queensland.

Locals say the rolling green hills, deep pockets of rain forest and spectacular views in all directions is what makes Maleny so special.

Make sure you visit Gardners Falls & Maleny Cheese Factory while you’re there.
