Starry Nights Luxury Camping

The Property

We use an external massage therapist who we know and love and they will set up their tables on the deck of your tent (side by side if there are two), and you are massaged in nature amongst the trees, it really is a unique experience and one not to be missed!

Starry Night’s guest lounge is our communal guest hub with a small library, air hockey and pool tables, massage chair and fire box.  There’s a coffee machine in the lounge, as well as a choice of games and beverages.

Yes, a 50% deposit is required to secure a booking and the balance is due 2 weeks prior to your arrival.

Check in times are from 2pm and check out is at 10am (except for those arriving on Sundays where the check in time is from 3pm with a late check out at 11am).

There is a 2 night minimum stay.

You will find Starry Nights just over 1 hr from Brisbane airport and just over 10 minutes to Montville and just over 20 minutes from Mooloolaba beach. Our camp site is on a bitumen road, completely 2WD accessible.

We do not allow any camping on the property as our council DA prevents it. The only form of accommodation we offer are our exclusive safari tents, which can accommodate 2 to 5 guests each.

Yes. All safari tent sites have both phone and internet coverage.

Your Starry Night’s hosts will email a few questions to you with other information 2 weeks before you arrive, and offer choices relating to meals, massages and other inclusions.

Unfortunately, due to the local wildlife and our free-range chickens we are unable to accept pets.

Starry Night is unsuitable for wheelchairs due to the hills and uneven terrain.

We have a minimum of two nights and three on long weekends.

We have ample parking which is situated just near the guest lounge. Upon arrival you and your bags will be escorted to your safari tent.

Why not purchase a welcome platter that will be ready when you arrive with your choice of red, white or sparkling wines, beer or soft drink. A breakfast hamper can be purchased separately. Breakfast hampers include bacon, organic sausages, eggs, tomatoes, mushrooms, Greek yoghurt, Turkish bread, juice, milk and tea. To personlise your experience, guests’ preferences are considered including food allergies and highlighting seasonal and locally sourced food. Food is grown over the property from various nut producing trees and Starry Nights kitchen garden, the Sunshine Coast Hinterland farmers markets and wild harvested bush tucker plants. Also, in our Glamping tents, we provide organic herbal teas, coffee, hot chocolate as well as organic snacks, and staples in your bar fridge. Each of our safari tents has a kitchenette and BBQ with side burner (and some pots and pans) so that you are able to prepare your meals. Kitchenette and cooking facilities Each tent is equipped with a camp kitchen inside your tent. There is a 6 burner BBQ located on the deck of your tent which is also equipped with a side burner for saucepans. Your camp kitchen contains the following:
  • 2 bar fridges (240L total space)
  • A microwave oven
  • A toaster
  • A Kettle
  • A coffee machine
  • 1 pot/sauce pan
  • 1 fry pan
  • Cutlery
  • Plates, bowls, saucers
  • Mugs, glasses, wine goblets
  • Cooking utensils
  • Chopping board and knife

Experiences

Whether it be relaxation or adventure, Starry Nights is the perfect getaway. You might like to sleep in and then walk down to a swimming hole or walk further down to our rock pools. Take a stroll along the walking track through our little part of the Hinterland’s rainforest. Visit our guest lounge to play some pool or have a complementary massage.

There are lots of things to experience being just over:

  • 10 minutes from the heart of the mountain village of Montville,
  • 20 minutes to Alex and Mooloolaba beaches,
  • 25 minutes to Eumundi markets
  • 30 minutes to Australia Zoo
  • 12 minutes to Kondalilla Falls
  • 20 minutes to theme park Aussie World
  • 25 minutes to Underwater World Sea Life, Mooloolaba
  • 13 minutes to Kondalilla National Park
  • 1 hour from Brisbane airport.

Starry Nights is in the perfect location, just over – 10 minutes from Montville and 20 minutes to Alex and Mooloolaba beaches, 25 minutes to Eumundi Markets and just over 1 hour from Brisbane.

The Tents

Each tent is fitted out with the same luxe inclusions.

Certainly:

  • in winter once the giant window flaps are rolled down you can rest assured that you will be toasty. Your fireplace can be rotated to face any direction in the tent. You can soak in your steaming hot bath or snuggle under the covers made from organic and natural wool and cotton linen and rugs.
  • in summer you’ll be glad to know that all our tents are insulated. Being off the ground and with such large windows all around they capture breezes from the surrounding forest. There are also 4 ceiling fans for any really warm days. In fact, summertime is the perfect time for a cool off in the winding waters of Petrie Creek, with a swimming hole just two minutes walk from your tent.

Complementary firewood and fire lighting supplies are supplied for your safari tent from 30 April to 1 Nov (the cooler times). Firewood and fire lighting supplies can be supplied outside of these times (provided the fans are not put on at the same time) but will be charged $35 per night.

Absolutely. All tents have gas burners, microwave oven, rice cooker and kitchen equipment. There are also 2 bar fridges in each safari tent.

Yes there are power points and USB ports in each tent.

Your owners and hosts allow only 2 bookings/groups at any one time ensuring your total privacy and a relaxing and peaceful retreat.  All our tents ahave their own private settings with views to the bush.

Each safari tent has its own ensuite in each tent. There is a normal flushing toilet, a rain-head shower and a free standing, hot steaming bath in each tent.

You cannot see any other tents from your tent. The only other tent is 70 meters away.

Each tent can comfortably accommodate up to 5 guests. Each safari tent can be configured to accommodate a couple with a king-sized bed or a family with a king sized bed and 3 single beds. All with plush pillow tops.

Food & Drink
